UX research and design, development of the Open Museum concept.<\/p>\n<p>This is the final Project Work developed for the Master&#8217;s Degree in User Experience and it is grounded on the data collected during the preliminary research phase. Observation, benchmarking and evaluation sprints were conducted during all the lifecycle of the project.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><b>Mission: <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Supporting an ancient art museum by improving the visitor&#8217;s user experience through the usage of \u201csmart technologies\u201d; establishing a connection with the city in which the museum is located; designing for the specific field and also providing a concept\u00a0which can be adapted and exported to different cultural \/ museal contexts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Research work<\/strong> on the field was\u00a0conducted to the development of the concept\u00a0and it included the following<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Observation of user interaction in the museum context<\/li>\n<li>Narrative interviews with visitors<\/li>\n<li>Narrative Interviews with stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Shadowing of users in the museum context<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of transcripts<\/li>\n<li>Creation of User ethnographic maps<\/li>\n<li>Benchmarking, market analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Research outcomes were\u00a0f<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ield reports, user ethnographic maps,<\/span>\u00a0d<span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ata-driven Personas and a detailed Affinity Diagram\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">of the museum experience &#8211; featuring a pre-visit\u00a0<\/span>(decision and plans) visit and post-visit phase (sharing and remembering)<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-30 gallery-columns-4 gallery-size-thumbnail'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.eleonoraborelli.net\/eb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/temiinterv.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eleonoraborelli.net\/eb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/temiinterv-160x160.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eleonoraborelli.net\/eb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/temiinterv-160x160.jpg 160w, https:\/\/www.eleonoraborelli.net\/eb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/temiinterv-80x80.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<figcaption class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-123'>\n\t\t\t\t Interviews themes &#8211; Visitor&#8217;s interviews took place mostly outside the Museums, at the beginning and end of the visit. The \u201cpre\u201d interviews were quick and short, focused on the planning activity. Views and screens in the mobile IA will be subsets of the macro-IA, allowing to design from cross-channel and cross-device experiences from the beginning.\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><b>The Concept<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">: Open Museum is a service addressed to art lovers, tourists and citizens aimed to let them discover, reach and seamlessly explore museums and artworks as if they were part of the city. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">It is an \u201cenriched\u201d Pass delivered mainly through a mobile application which provides orientation, personalization and augmentation of the museum experience. It is sensible to the museum internal context and it is able to gather user preferences to narrate the museum to the city.
